Red Rattler: Knowledge series

FLENK collective collaborated with The Red Rattler Theatre’s artists in residence to produce and facilitate a series of four workshops for The Red Rattler’s core communities. We worked with the artists to develop and co-facilitate in-person workshops. These workshop were also adapted for digital resources and artist interviews filmed by Studio Sensorium. The videos will be released in early 2024.
Kilia Pahulu: ‘Ballroom cultures’
A workshop for people who are not in a ballroom house to connect and share knowledge of ballroom histories and cultures.
Akala Newman: ‘Connect to the past and present’
A sound-based workshop to connect respectfully to place and the present moment.
Kween G: ‘Tell your own stories’
A hip-hop songwriting and performance masterclass for poets, lyricists, musicians and artists.
Nicole Barakat: ‘Your presence is a gift’
A workshop to listen to plants and create an appliqué textile artwork as a gift to yourself to remember your ability to listen and connect.
